🚆 Public Transport (Best for Relaxed Travel)
From Oslo Airport (Gardermoen)
1. Train
• From Oslo Airport (OSL), go to the train platforms below the terminal.
• Take a Vy train to Oslo Central Station (Oslo S).
• At Oslo S, transfer to the Vy Bergen Line train toward Bergen.
• Get off at Ål Station.
🕐 Travel time: ~3–4 hours from Oslo S to Ål.
2. Option: Long-Distance Bus
• Express buses run from Oslo/Gardermoen to the Hallingdal region (often via Gol).
• Buses stop near Ål town centre.

The evening before the wedding, our dear friend Hilde will be offering relaxing and revitalizing sauna rituals at Hallingdal Leirsted for anyone who would like to unwind, connect, and ease into the wedding weekend.
Her sauna experiences combine warmth, calm atmosphere, and traditional rituals designed to leave you refreshed and grounded before the celebrations begin. It’s a wonderful opportunity to slow down, enjoy the moment, and share a unique Nordic experience together.
Please remember to bring your bathing clothes and a towel.

💦Day trip: Vøringsfossen
If you have access to a car, Vøringsfossen and the scenic Hardangervidda route make for a memorable day trip. Walk along the viewpoints and bridges overlooking one of Norway’s most famous waterfalls and dramatic landscapes.
Hallingstuene
A cozy, high-quality restaurant in Geilo serving classic Norwegian and Nordic dishes made with local ingredients. Perfect for a relaxed yet memorable evening out.
🌄 Prestholtseter & Mountain Views (Geilo)
Just above Geilo lies Prestholtseter, a traditional mountain farm and a popular summer destination. Enjoy homemade waffles and coffee while taking in panoramic views of Hallingskarvet National Park. From here, you can take short walks on the mountain plateau or simply relax and enjoy the scenery.

UPDATE: Hallingdal Leirsted can't provide us with bed sheets and towels so please bring them with you or if you don't have the possibility for that then simply let us know and we will bring some extra for you. :)
If you wish to arrive earlier or stay longer, any additional nights will need to be arranged and paid for by you directly. Please let us know in the RSVP form if this applies to you, and we’ll help coordinate where possible.
